What Kind of Events are Offered?
The Snowdrop Studio's workshops, lessons and events are currently scheduled for groups at different locations. She also schedules in-home (or at a location of your choosing) art experiences that make a difference! Each event or class is designed to offer participants an opportunity to step out of their comfort zone with projects designed to stretch you, make you think, tap into your heart and result in a beautiful piece of art! Try new techniques, express your inner artist, step outside the box and make a difference for others in need of hope, through the donations made by a portion of the cost of every class taken. Classes are taught by artist, Leslie Mears. Leslie is located in Cornelius, NC, and also spends time in Murphy, NC, so any classes, workshops, or private lessons offered would be focused in the Mecklenburg County/Northern Charlotte area, at your location, or in the Cherokee County/Blue Ridge, GA area.
- Invite a few friends over to your house for creativity and connection. You provide the space, snacks and drinks, we provide the fun! At each special event, we will complete an inspired and expressive project from start to finish! Everyone can benefit from the creative process!!
- Projects/workshop themes are personalized to your interests! For example, Intro to Watercolor, Landscape Canvas, Still Life Flowers Mixed Media, Expressive Abstraction, Journal and Collage, Ceramic Tile painting.....let's discuss your ideas! We can try all kinds of media and techniques! The guests go home with a unique, individual piece of artwork, and leave filled up by experienceing creativity and connection!
- Other potential programming could be a healing/expressive art experience for grief groups, support groups. Experiencing different art materials and expressing yourself through art is very healing!
- Each event has a give-back component. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to The Snowdrop Studio’s charity of the month, or to the charity of the your choice.
- When Leslie has class offerings to sign up for, they will be listed on her Instagram profile @thesnowdropstudio.
